John Camp and Beth Fisher honored by the The National Hellenic Society with its 2022 Excellence Award
Kudos to John Camp and Beth Fisher, who were recently honored by the The National Hellenic Society with its 2022 Excellence Award.
Drake Behrakis, Chairman of National Hellenic Society, congratulated the two honorees and Actor Michael Chiklis during the Society’s annual Heritage Weekend and Classic Celebration last week in Dana Point, California.
A painting of John and Beth will be placed in the National Hellenic Museum in Chicago.
Professor Camp has lectured all over the world and is the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Professor of classics at Randolph Macon College. Dr. Camp recently turned over the reins as the Director of Excavations at the ancient Agora, after 55+ years of dedicated service.
Dr. Elizabeth Fisher is a Professor of classics and archeology at Randolph Macon. She has worked on several ancient Hellenistic sites in Italy, Greece and Africa. Dr. Fisher is currently researching the connections between Greece and Ethiopia from the Bronze Age to Byzantium.
