The Only Known Copy of the Second Edition of K. M. Koumas’s (1777–1836) work, Ιστορίαι των ανθρώπινων πράξεων [Histories of Human Actions], Smyrna, 1879, now housed in the Gennadius Library.

The copy originally belonged to Frangiskos Vasileiou Kampanis of Paros, likely born around 1860. His great-grandson Dimitris, a historian, donated the volume to the Gennadius Library, ensuring its preservation and accessibility for the scholarly community and all interested readers.

A Rare Acquisition: The First Greek Grammar Printed in the Portuguese Language

Αn exceptionally rare and significant work was acquired by the Gennadius Library: Novo Epitome da Gramatica Grega de Porto Real, authored by João Jacinto de Magalhães and printed in Paris by Firmin Didot in 1760.
