Head Conservator- Nicol Anastassatou
Nicol Anastassatou obtained a diploma in Applied Arts (Stained – glass Window Artist – Mosaic Artist) from the 2nd Technical and Vocational Educational School in Applied Arts, and later a full Diploma in Conservation of Antiquities and Works of Art at the Technological Educational Institution of Athens. From 1991 to 2003, Nicol worked as a conservator for the Greek Ministry of Culture in several museums and sites of the islands of Delos, Santorini, Samos, Kithnos, Paros, Naxos, and Myconos. She was the Head of the Conservation Laboratory and the Head Conservator for the Tholos, The Stadium, and the Greek Baths at the archaeological site of Epidauros and she has obtained her license for the Antiquities Conservation issued by the Greek Ministry of Culture, num. 406. Additionally, she has been an instructor of conservation technicians and site/museum guards for the Greek Ministry of Education Organization of Professional Education and Instruction. Nicol has been working as head conservator for Corinth Excavations since 2003.
